The course is the best of the "dormitory" town courses around Aberdeen, particularly when it has had a chance to dry out a bit in the late spring. Unfortunately it can be very wet at times when there has been sustained rain for a period.

It has what is probably the toughest two finishing holes in the North-East, both requiring a vary precisely placed drive followed by a long shot to the green. Come off those two holes with pars on each and you can be proud of your achievement!

It is an enjoyable course which is fair to golfers of any standard, and the membership is friendly, with very good clubhouse facilities.
