Murrayshall Golf Course Player Reports

The course during our visit was not in the best shape. Both the first hole on the Lynedoch was almost literally a plowed field, the same state could be applied to the 10 and 11 of Murrayshall.
The one comment that I would really support os the welcome in the Pro shop, decidely cold.

I played this course in September of last year - I would agree with the previous entry's comments. It is a great character course, and a truly enjoyable day's golf if you can mke it round both. The climb can be steep and some of the fairways narrow, but it adds to the challenge. (Oh, and the pro was efficient if not warm!)

Just spent a day playing Murrayshall and Lyndenoch and these courses are true hidden gems -every hole with the exception of possibly two over both layouts are character holes. Greens are absolutely immaculate and the facilities are first class.
I have never enjoyed a day's golf so much and would recommend this resort to everyone.
One small thing - the professional could make an effort to be a little more friendly!

This is a good, testing, well-maintained course but not a typical Perthsire course. It features lots of huge mature trees and on many holes there is a tree right in the middle of the fairway. This means that unless you are straight off the tee on most holes you won't have a shot to the green. The strangest hole is the dogleg par 5 where there is a notice advising you not to hit over the dogleg as you would be hitting over another green so you have to hit 6-iron to the corner! The sountrack to your round will be the clunk of balls hitting trees and golfers swearing. Don't be put off though, its definitely worth a visit. Good food too.

Another one of these great new course recently built to have a golf day/weekend. Holes 7 and 9 on the big course are the signature holes but there are also some great Par 3's. Worth a visit. Great day rates and the Hotel is worth a stay as well, great food.
