There is a purity in this course that few courses can match. After a short opener, all the holes are wonderful.

Challenging, fair, perfectly conditioned, beautiful. If golf course designers studied the New course, they would learn that nothing flashy is required to build a great course. Totally pure golf. Exceptional. I can't wait to return.

Having travelled a fair distance just to take in the aura that is St Andrews I was happy to say the least to be given the chance to play the "New" Course. Thanks largely due to a friendly & enthusiastic gentlemen starter. I did arrive early morning @ 07:30.

I have to say that the experience will remain with me for the rest of my days. It is true links golf and a pleasure to walk on such hallowed ground.

I felt the course was in great condition and proved an enjoyable challenge. The Putting services were true and the fairways were rewarding to good shots. The rough as long as you found your ball, appeared daunting but was not impossible. The bunkers well you all know what their like !

The views across both the "old" course and the surrounding area of St Andrews are stunning.

I also found the facilities were exceptional as you would expect, and the staff across the board were extremely helpful & friendly. In my humble opinion no golfing journey is complete without at least a visit to St Andrews the true

"Home of Golf".

Played in July 2002. More fun to play than the Old Course (and half the price). The holes are laid out before you and if you keep it in the short grass, you can score. We had dinner in the Links pub and had a good meal and great service.

A FABULOUS COURSE!!! A GREAT TEST OF GOLF. THE LOOP OF HOLES FROM THE 8TH TO 10TH ARE SUPERB. THE VIEWS ACROSS THE BAY FROM THE 9TH TEE ARE WONDERFUL. I WOULD RECOMMEND GETTING TO THE COURSE EARLY. I TEED OFF AT 6 A.M. AND FINISHED BY 9 A.M.! BRING YOUR 'A' GAME THOUGH, YOU'LL NEED IT, EVEN IF THERE IS A SLIGHT BREEZE!!!

Loved this course and it was great fun. Not as many bunkers as the Old, but many good holes. The par five eighth, the par 3 ninth(245 yards ob left) and the par 4 10th(Blind drive) are a great group of holes.

I played it twice and enjoyed it both times.

My last round was played with an 81 year old gentleman from PA. He walked all eighteen and made a great par on the long (210 yards) par 3 17. We played in just under four hours!! The people you meet playing golf are great.

Many of the St. Andrews locals and staff will tell you that this is a better test of golf than the Old Course, and more enjoyable. I did not play the Old, but I loved this one. It is probably the most representative of a links course of the 9 courses our group played. We paired this with Eden for 36 holes one day, and that is a perfect combination.
