Newton Stewart Golf Club Player Reports
Jeff Anderson (England) 27/05/06
We played Newton Stewart as part of a weeks tour by a society of nine and gave it top marks of the five courses we played.
This is a `must play`if you are in the area, each hole is different and the greens and general maintenance are first class. Our society were bowled over by the course, the friendly attitude of the staff and members, and we are already discussing when we can play it again.
If you are in this beautiful part of Scotland, take time out and play Newton Stewart, you will not be disappointed.

I thought this course was wonderful, the best of the six I have played in the area. Every hole presented a different challenge and course management was vital (unfortunately I failed the manage some of the holes correctly). I played in an absolute downpour for the front 9, but after it stopped, the water quickly disappeared. A true "hidden gem" in Southern Scotland, highly recommended to everyone.

A group of friends and myself travel to Scotland each year for a three day golfing break. Of the courses we play this is the finest and we return here every year guaranteed!!

The new 9 has spectacular views over the town and coast. One of the most undiscovered treasures of sw Scotland.

I note that you have updated your list of Golf Courses this month. However you list Newton Stewart as a Nine hole course. It has been an 18 hole course for at least four years Mike Hurdle, Member E Mail Address Compuserve: 106075.1721@compuserve.com
