The course was excellent one of the finest I have played this season, including the Old Course and Gleneagles. This is a must to play with very many challenging holes. The people at the course were terriffic. Fantastic we will return!!!!!

Played 36 holes at Scotscriag this week. Very impressed - the course was in excellent condition and when the wind blew was a very real test. A must for anyone to play when visiting Fife. The clubhouse facilities were excellent too with a warm welcome given and great food provided.
James Mccann (Scotland) 14/05/04
Played here on a Friday afternoon which is one of two times during the week that the club accepts Bunkered greenfeesaver coupons. Had presumed it was a links course but if it is, it is only in strict geological terms, not by nature or feel as
the layout is far more parkland with trees and yellow gorse lining many of the fairways (and furry grassed greens that are nothing like links puting surfaces!). My partner said it was a little like Ladybank which is praise indeed (but as I haven't yet played there I don't know how close this remark is to reality). I felt it was a little like Blairgowrie where you feel isolated on most holes from the rest of the course (I know you should not really compare against other tracks but this sometimes helps give an impression to others who have played those courses but not the one in question). Sand was excellent quality in the bunkers we visited We were made very welcome in a homely clubhouse and had an excellent high tea after our round. Only bad mark - no soap in the shower dispensers (not bad if that was all to compalin about).

First played Scotscraig in 1992 on a golfing holiday with some friends. Had never heard of the course before but so, so glad that we found it.
Beautiful turf, some stunning holes and a very warm welcome awaits.
I would certainly recommend this course to anybody contemplating a trip to this area of Scotland, you WILL NOT BE disappointed and as for the earlier report of noisy children? We have never seen any!
GO PLAY

Played this lovely course in late April. The weather was beautiful and the golf was great. Highly recommend this to visitors. The club staff was very friendly and the clubhouse fare was tasty.

If you have played St Andrews and Carnoustie and looking for another round in Fife then go no further than Scotscraig and you will truly be rewarded with a good testing round of golf. It should be in good condition this year (as it always is) with it being a qualifying course for the 2000 Open in St Andrews.
MISS IT AND YOU WILL BE THE LOSER.

If you go all the way to Fife and miss out on Scotscraig then you need your bumps feeling!!! What a fantastic experience! This is golf in its purest form, hit good shots and get rewarded, hit bad ones and get punished! I think I'm right in saying that it's an Open qualifying course for when the Open is played at St. Andrews and it is not difficult to see why! Overall a course that should be on every golfer's 'must play' list.
