I loved this course, service in clubhouse was superb. 3rd hole was my favourite. Going again next year, but next time play 18. Course was in Fantastic condition, considering the day before it absolutely bucketed down. Highly Recommend

St. Fillans. What a hidden little gem. Not very difficult - in fact we chose it as it was not too difficult and was likely to be empty(ish) as we had a Fife (golf) virgin with us. Beautiful surrounds - views like this would normally cost a lot of money on other more 'up-market' golf courses. Good condition - quite a strange layout with very easy holes followed up with a very looong par 4. I understand you can pay £50 to play it for 5 days; I imagine that if you get the right weather that would be golfers heaven.

I have played St Fillans many times over the past 10 years. It is very handy to have 9 holes after a day's work especially as one can play up to 11pm in the light scottish evenings! A beautiful course and a fair test for high handicappers. The green fee however at £16 is a little steep for a 9 hole course although a reduced evening 9 hole fee is available

Oh yes! You do not need a course by the see to have a wonderful day of golf in Scotland. The people at St Fillans made us feel very welcome and we enjoyed an perfect day in the sun. The course is in a valley between two imposing mountain ranges covered in heather (being from The Netherlands we call them mountains). We played the course in late August on a nice sunny day. The course was very well kept with nice true greens. And not at all easy. Especially the fifth, a dogleg with an elevated green, gave us problems.
And if you have some more time visit the village, the lakes and the surrounding area. It has plenty to offer. And to all the people at St Fillans: Thank you for a wonderfull day. We'll be back.

St.Fillans golf course is heaven on earth, where you can find wonderful scenery [in all weather conditions]and an abundance of widlife in and around the course. I even saw six deer run down the 1st.fairway when I visited.
The course itself has some very interesting holes and an excellent view from the 3rd.tee.

The Surrounding Scenery Is Magnificent. The Course Is Relatively Easy, However It Has Some Very Interesting Holes. On A Couple You Tee-off From A High Bluff. Another Interesting Hole You Can Cut A Dogleg As You Dare Over A Large Rock Outcropping. One Of The Par Fives Is Bordered On The Left By An Ancient Stone Wall. This Is A Nine Hole Layout, So You Go Around The Track Twice. We Only Played 18, But I Could Easily Have Spent The Entire Day Playing There.
