I have played the course many times over the years and believe the SSS and Par would be a tough, enjoyable challenge for golfers of all handicaps.

Visiting Family whilst in Stornaway i took advantage of this lovely semi links ,semi parkland course .Tricky holes on out and in nines .Best to play in warm weather! For such a small course on such a small island i was amased at the clubhouse facilities ,which put my own clubs to shame!\r\nCourse nearly always empty .In my 3 rounds i counted only 10 other golfers .Thanks for some great golf Stornaway

Stornoway is a testng course especially when the wind blows, which it does a great deal of the time. The starting and finishing holes are particularly tough with an ssi of 1 and 4 respectively. In the summer it's a picturesque course with fine views over Broad Bay and the mountains of Sutherland.
