Simon Chapman (England) 08/06/07
Played Thornton on 1st June 2007, found course to be in top condition and people very freindly. Although all the fairways were tree lined there was not much room between fairways on the first part of the course, however this changes towards the end of the round with some nice holes.

Graham Mcdermott (Scotland) 14/05/04
Front nine fairly flat in the main (except a short par three with the green on high), if you hit straight you'll have little trouble, trees lining either side of most fairways can cause problems for thos with a hook/slice problem. Back nine defintely more interesting/variable. The 14th is a great par three with a huge area of rough jutting in from the left across the direct route and the burn out of bounds on the left too. Nice course.

What a wonderful course! Fast greens, beautiful setting - on the back nine, there are wonderful mountain views in the distance. It's a splendid Parkland course, and the golfers are friendly, have good basic advice on the course and healthy tasty food! My husband and I shall return!!
