Tobermory Golf Club Player Reports
Paddy Drought (England) 26/04/06
I played here at the beginning of April, and having eventually found someone to pay our Green fees to, we set off in Blazing sunshine. By hole 4 we were in a thunderstorm. By hole 6 it was blazing sunshine again.
It's a decent enough and challenging course with truly beautiful views form many of the tees and greens. Most of the holes are quite short, but the undulations make judging distance harder. Not a spectacular course, but very definitiely wpth playing for the views alone.

I was a member at Tobermory Golf Club until last year (1999). I am now a member of both Machrahanish and Dunaverty in Kintyre, Scotland, but still I long to play again at Tobermory for it has the best views of any golf course in Scotland. The condition of the course is excellent and it is a very tricky and demanding test of golf. If you are ever on the Isle of Mull make sure you play this gem.

Quite simply a stunning and beautifull course. I would recomend it to anyone. 9 holes but a good test for anyone off any handicap. We played it at Whitsun and it was in great condition. Greens excellent, some of the finest views in scotland and all the holes offer somthing different

This is a short nine hole course but is extremely difficult with many blind holes. Even hitting a straight ball can land you in trouble which can be infuriating. We played it on a good sunny day in April. It must be a nightmare in the wind. The course is very well maintained and the greens are in surpisingly good condition given its isolated and windswept location. Apparantly, Tom Watson played it last year.
In all a good days golf but the most memorable thing about this course is the breathaking views across the Sound of Mull - simply stunning.

I lost a lot of golf balls there once -- any you find may be mine!! P.S. I like your web page. Regards, Clive Simpson. 101522.124@compuserve.com
