Windyhill Golf Club Player Reports

I played this course with my daughter. We both enjoyed the course. It was both challenging and scenic. It lived up to its name, Windy Hill. It was warm and windy when we played it. There are some long up-hill walks and you should be in decent shape to walk this course. It had some challenging holes, especially the 12th. But they were all very fair. The members were very friendly and went out of their way to talk to us. If I ever get back to Scotland I would love to play the course again. After the round we went to the clubhouse. I was wearing tennis shoes and even though tennis shoes are not allowed in the club house, they waived the rule and invited us in. If you get a chance to play here, do so, you won't be disappointed.

Best course in the glasgow area by a long way. very tough and challenging but always fair(apart from 12th!!)
Is in top quality condition all year round and is a must if you are in glasgow and surrounding area.

Windyhill is a superb test of golf for all abilities, the person who commented this is the worst course ..etc, is clearly not a half decent golfer who would appreciate the very testing holes on this great layout, the 6th,7th, 9th and especially the 12th are the hardest tests pf par I have ever come across. The 9th called perfection speaks for itself and the 12th Rocky Gait at par 4 (or sometimes even pretending it is a par 5) is near to impossible, the chances of getting on the dance floor here in 2 shots are nil.
The views from the course are spectacular and any one who has reached the top of cardiac hill (15th Tee) cannot help but be impressed with the view. Great course play it if you get a chance.

To the person below that feels this is the worst course he has ever played, you are a lucky man to have played only better courses than this. Perhaps you should prepare a report on Little hill!! I have played this course several times and have found it challenging, frustrating and tiring, but always worth the visit. Many of my family are members and I look forward to playing again in the near future.

Possibly the worst course I have ever played. Terrible condition and a string of badly designed holes. I would not play here under any circumstances.

This course is very challenging and is located on an area with panoramic\r\nviews of Glasgow and the Clyde Valley. It has a lot of very interesting\r\nholes with some in Rocky terrain and the twelth "Rocky Gate"has to be\r\nseen and played.\r\nI noted that women's champion Janice Moodie from the Curtis Cup of\r\n1994 & 1996 is an Honary Member of this club.
