This is definately not for first timers to the game.went to this course becasue its local for my first ever round, it was an experience. A lot of blind shots, 1 hole i had to hunt for the green. Very hilly aswel itl give you a good workout if nothing else. But like i said i am a rank amateur enjoyed it even though it was very tough, wouldnt go back until iv played a few more rounds elsewhere and have more experience.

I have just played a round at Beith and I think it's a great course.

If you like a flat course then this is not for you, but if you like a challenging course this is great. The course is well kept and the greens are some of the best I have ever seen.

I went in July and they only charged me a tenner for 18 great holes.

I've just played around here and its a cracking little course. Its really challenging both physically and mentally. There aren't too many long holes so you may have to keep your Howitzers under wraps for long spells. The signature hole must the par 4 6th. Just under 400 yards from a raised tee to a tight fairway (although there are two other fairways you can land on if your a bit wild).

Its very hilly, lots of blind shots, extremely tight and a killer 18th.

Club house is small but comfortable, with basic but extremely tasty food. Changing facilities are possibly the worst thing about the club but don't let that put you off a round.

The new 9 is now maturing nicely. The addition of several hundred trees plus the odd very nasty bunker make the par of 68 a real challenge. The 11th hole is the toughest par three I have ever played.

Extension to 18 holes successful, although a few undistinguished holes. Some challenging holes on both halves. Very undulating, and some sharing of fairways. Clubhouse fairly basic. Weekend charge 20
