We played on a gorgeous, sunny and breezy day last week. A warm welcome at the cute little white club house by the beach was followed by a hugely enjoyable couple of rounds on a great nine hole layout which works its way up and along the ridge immediately above the beach. The second, Traigh's signature hole, is a fun but demanding par five with a blind drive from a teebox on top of the ridge across a valley to the fairway on the next part of the ridge; but the real bonus is Traigh's heavenly setting. The sea views across the white beaches out to Rhum, Eigg and Skye are simply stunning. If you're within reach it's a "must visit"

Traigh is definitely a place to go out of your way to play. We played September 13, 2008 in misty and overcast conditions with no wind for our two times around the course. But we loved every minute of our time there. I wished I could take the course home with me! Holes 1-6 are seaside. Holes 7 and 8 are on the other side of a ridge out of view of the sea. Hole 9 is a beauty downhill to the sea again. Not a long course, but makes for an interesting game. Even if your game is not on, the sights will still give you a grand day.

Yep this really is a little piece of heaven. If you find yourself in one of the campsites around here for gods sake make sure your clubs are stuffed somewhere in the luggage and get around at least once. Not as easy as you might think looking at yardages if it's blowing! Facilities basic but only adds to the charm.

Great little course. Need to play four times to get to understand the layout. Hole #2 is one of the best par 5's I have ever played. No stress for golf widows as a beautiful beach lies adjacent to the course. Must do if you are anywhere within 40 miles of Mallaig.

This is the most wonderful course with scenery you only can expect in heaven. The best place I have ever been in my life. Nature at its best. And the most friendly people in europe.

Played in July 2004. The course is in a fabulous setting with a white sandy bay and touquise seas (on the day I played - not guaranted!)on one side and mountains the other side. You need to go around once (9 holes) to get your bearings for some holes. Highly recommended.
