On a brief trip to the Highlands this week I managed to squeeze a round in at this lovely little course.
Set in beautiful countryside, I was made to feel very welcome by the young lady in the club shop. The course has 5 holes on one side of a quiet road, and 4 holes on the other side. The course is a fairly gentle walk and makes for a nice change, what I would call a holiday course.
Four par 3s tells you that space is quite limited, but what they have, they have used very well. A good dogleg par 5 to a small green gets your round underway, followed by a nice par 3 down hill over a wall.
My personal favourite was the 6th, dog lef par 4 with water lurking. Very nice hole.
Overall, greens in pretty good condition, a little slow but they certainly ran true. Everything else on the course was in pretty good nick too.

This course has open fairways and true greens and is well maintained. Each of the nine holes has something special, be it a dogleg to judge, a wall to cross, a frontal or sideways slope to consider, or the threat of a creek a the side. The scenery (a quiet open valley between fir-woods) is very pleasant, too. Playing 9 holes in the afternoon, we enjoyed it very relaxed. A warm welcome and a delicious sandwich before added to our pleasures.

Breathtaking scenery - tree lined mountain on your left as you drive off the first down a huge slope, fantastic course and very well looked after. Stayed for a week and played 11 rounds for £25 - absolute steal. Will be back next year. Evil 6th hole - draw over river or fade around into a crafty pond! Brilliant fun.
