We found the course very enjoyable. It was in good condition, with the greens/ fairways in good nick, grading of rough fair, meaning you should generally only hit heavy rough or water with genuinely bad shots. Some great views from tees looking down the holes, and the surrounding countryside provides a nice backdrop. Would play it again.

I love this course and have played it several times now after playing in a pro-am a few years ago.
Plenty of water which only really catches very poor shots and some horrific rough. Its quite a log as most of the course seems to be uphill (unlikely I know) and many of the tees are raised. Some cracking long par 3s and plenty of par 5s. I know its not really that difficult as the pros murdered it at the pro-am with most of them being well under par - our guy hit a -5 67 - but it was tough enough for me.

Played this course twice in one day, as part of a society tour, and enjoyed both rounds. The course is well maintained, although recent heavy rain had made a few of the lower fairways quite heavy. The undulating green on the 11th also had a fair bit of surface water on it. The course is quite hilly, with at least 5-6 greens significantly higher than the fairway, adding some challenge to club selection.
There is a fair bit of permanent water within the course design, (a large lake at the 1st and 2nd, a river running through, and a water protected par 3 at the 16th). However, based on the number of balls that our party of 8 lost in the two rounds, it is fair to say the water hazards are fairly easy to avoid through some conservative course management.
A solid course, particulalry suitable for society/visitors who want a high scoring stableford game.
