I played the course after moving back to lanarkshire from 10 years of being away. I found the course a good test of golf and somewhere were all your shot making will be tested. The staff are very friendly and helpful, excellent day out.

I have just played 3no courses in Scotland including Moffats at Airdrie and found this course although good to be the weakest. On the plus side its a good test of golf requiring long hitting and becomes almost impossible when the winds blowing .The cost is good at £14.50 a round and its certainly still worth a visit .My main problem on the course was the small greens which are currently in poor condtion .When you are on a long par 4 into the wind you are thus oftan faced with a 3 rd shot into a small target taht wil not hold the ball .The other problem I had was the bugiy boys who did not wish to play through but kept pushing up behind me.

While I was in Scotland this past year, I had the pleasure of playing Kames Country Club. I was pleasently surprised with the condition and challenges of the course. The club restaurant was a pleasure also. The staff and food was excellent. It was all I expected and had heard of Scottish hospitality.
If you are looking for beautful country atmosphere, a place to play golf and end your visit with dinner, then you need to visit Kames Country Club.

tHIS COURSE IS ONE OF THE BEST IN THE AREA A CHALLENGE FOR ALL GOLFERS AS MY FRIEND AND FELLOW GOLFING BUDDY JOHN RHIND WILL AGREE WITH,HIS 3 SCORES TO DATE ARE 116,101 AND 114.
He will probably not play again after this comment, but i have not faired much better with rounds of 117,93 and 91.
All in all anyone who plays this course will be tested to the full with water in play at more than half the holes.
