19 th may 2008

day1 of the scotland tour, time for the texts to stop and the golf do the talking,just the drive in to the place you can feel ur entering in2 a quailty golfing areana,after signing in which the pro was very helpfull as prices had gone up since we booked and honoured our prices, we got buggys and was very pleased we did long walks between tees,now the course we had the option of playing off any tees we wanted apart from blue so we chose white which made it long,the 1st is not an easy tee shot between the trees then still along way to the green,alot of the greens are raised so if ur hitting 150 its prob 160, 4th a nice hole over water, 7th nice long par 5,the back 9 is just as tough 10th is stroke 1 and 11th is a good par 5, 13th great par 3 over water,14 th viaduct hole nice but i thought they were better holes on the course, 17th and 18th tough finish, out of our group fat tiger took the money with 35 points,dad had the toys out the pram with some wayward driving much to our amusement,walshy got the wig,the reigning champ sliver fox seemed to be struggling had he got worse or had we got better????, great c course big greens ,pretty expensive if ur not playing on the 241 s but great test of golf

A great experience. Best course in the Borders where there are many excellent courses. A real test of your golfing ability and course management. Bunkers are stategically placed and guard the greens well however there always seems to be a 'way in'. There are some long walks between greens and the next tee but the way the course is presented more than makes up for it. The supplement to the 'Freedom of the Fairways' ticket is well worth paying and the view from the 14th Tee is inspiring. Food was good and staff helpful.

My third trip here on 25th april 2007 with my group, we always use it as our last course on our 4 day trip its that good, and again roxburgh did not dissapoint, well manicured and testing as always, i came in with a nett 75 so was very chuffed with my game, i had the course manager from our course with me and his favorite course was carnoustie, but not any more he was blown away and had to tell the staff. Will be back hopefully October this year again, so see you soon roxburghe

This was our final course of our golf break and we couldnt have finished with a better course. It was actually the 5th time Ive played the Roxburghe now and it just gets better and better every time I play it!!!!! Every single hole is memorable and the condition of the course for late April was perfect. The greens were superb and the course was manicured to perfection.

The pro is very helpful and all the staff are friendly and polite.

My only slight complaint would be the lack of practice facilities (no driving range but a well manicured putting green).

This is a must play golf course. Take my word for it - you wont be disappointed playing this BRILLIANT course!!!

played august 2005..(got to book a buggy)theres plenty ..wouldnt like to walk around it...must admit i had a bit of a hack on this course..i play of 8 and this course hammered me....greens are fast..was on a par 5 in 2 shots and walked of with a seven..very good test of golf and our society voted it best course 2005 and we play alot of courses....check the carp in the pond on the par 3..(massive)all round good course excellent staff and a most enjoyable day.

Fantastic course, undulating fairways and well contoured greens with plenty of bunkers. Course manicured to near perfection, quite long and even longer in the wind but our group wanted to play again straight away we thought it was that good. The "viaduct" hole that everyone raves about at being one of the most photographed around was a slight let down for me but maybe that was because it was wet and cloudy who knows. The staff in clubhouse bent over backwards to accommodate us for drinks and food A++
