i thought that brucefeilds was a very pleasureable 9 hole course i thought what gary said was the biggest pile of lies. the green is in very good condition and if gary was complaining about the ruff he cant be a verry good golfer as i found it was very normal condition one of the other things i liked was the fairway tea bar i will definently be going back to the course in the nearby futre
very good course

Great wee course, thoroughly enjoyable and a great test of golf for beginners to Low Handicaps with out of bounds at almost every hole.

Chosen on a recent trip to Scotland more to fit my wifes skills than mine, but actually a damn good 9 hole course. Even on the last week of October it was in pretty good nick.
The first, a gentle downhill par 4 towards a housing estate doesn't leave the best impression but the 2nd, 3rd and 4th in a triangle were excellent. The 6th, played from a higly elevated position to a small green surrounded by gorse, ditch, and bunkers is a real 'On, or gone!'.
Other holes are tricky rather than difficult with multi-level greens, ditches and well placed bunkers, but that just made the day a very pleasant test, without feeling that we had 'wrestled the beast' as we came off the last.
Recommended.

Returned last week to play this course after a 2 year gap and was pleased to see it in splendid condition despite the vagaries of our weather. The course was well presented with clear evidence of hard work by greens staff and management.
This 9 hole facility although not over long presents golfers
of all standards with constant challenges, no more so than
the all uphill long par 5 and the fiendishly difficult par
3 hole no.6. This short hole takes no prisoners. Miss the
green and there is no way back.Club selection varies with
the wind and can be from wedge to mid iron. This pleasant
pay and play course is enhanced by great views of the nearby
Ochills and Stirling Castle. The adjacent par 3 course has the distinction of providing not only a fine short game
practice facility but is host to the junior members who in addition to their own club also it would appear play non-stop throughout the season. This dedication to the junior scene accounts for the many thousands of lessons for the
young golfer over the last 4 years.I recommend a visit.
