Brighouse Bay Golf Club and Driving Range Player Reports
Jeff Anderson (England) 27/05/06
We played Brighouse Bay as part of a weeks tour of the area, by a party of nine and ranked it fourth of the five courses we played.
The layout, especially of the front nine, is excellent with a touch of Neffyn about some of the holes, and that is praise indeed. The back nine look as though they have been added as an afterthought and do not have the character of the earlier ones. What lets the course down, appalling greens, in fact greens is a contradiction in terms as there is no grass on some of them. The other thing to remember is that this is mainly a caravan and leisure park, so do not expect golf club type facilities.

I said last year we'd be back, and we have been.
The new green keeper has an evil streak with pin placements to make you laugh, cry or possibly both.
To be fair there was a compettition the day before!!
This course gets better every time I play it, had 4 goes so far and need another few!.
The only downside was i got a bit of sunburn as it was just so sunny.
great course, great views, great weather
Play it but get a buggy!

An excellent course that will challenge anyone.
The greens are as fast as they are tricky - a putters delight.
The 1st 9 is very hilly (and a bit windy too) but worth the tired legs. Best advice is get a buggy and play iT twice. you need the 1st round to lear the course .
Played may 2004 and can't wait to go back.
