Son Vida Golf Player Reports

Played here recntly with a fairly large group. We were made to feel welcomed from start to finish.
A buggy is advisable as the course is cut out of a hillside and is bordered by developments.
The final hole is a monster par 5 with water coming into play on both left and right an excellent finish to a very fine course. Other memorable holes include the short par3 16th.
Definitely worth a visit.

Played Son Vida on a lovely morning in March and really enjoyed the experience.
The course seemed relaxed and quiet but was in lovely condition. The holes interwined through a hillside estate of large villas but never was the development obtrusive. On the contrary there were some gorgeous views of both Mallorca and some impressive housing.
Being on the side of the hillside there are some slopes to climb but we managed without a buggy - this would be a different story in high summer though.
Round starts with placid dogleg par 4 but then follows with 200 yard par 3 and tough uphill par 4. The majority of the holes that followed were memorable with some tight fairways, good bunkering and excellent use of the gradients. The round culminates in double dogleg par 5 with water more or less on both sides.
Would definitely play again, Son Vida being my favourite of the four courses I played on this trip (Son Termens, Son Antem and Bendinat).

Magnificent course that I have played 5 times over the years. Never gets over busy unlike some others on the island. Take a buggy as a strenuous walk even for the fittest. Greens in great condition and clubhouse superb, with a great welcome.

Played this course as part of a tour in May 2005.
One of the best courses I have played on.In superb condition throughout with medium fast, even paced greens. Would suggest that (apart from the fittest) you use an electric trolley €20 or a buggy (Cart path only). Well worth the visit, would certainly play again.
(n.b. Some building work on villas but didn't spoil our day)
