Club de Golf Bonalba Player Reports

Excellent condition (Feb 2006), well-organised, nice design, good value. Although I'm a high handicapper, the course didn't feel too daunting, and I found the golf buggies with GPS very useful. Fine clubhouse too. The only slight niggle is finding the course - it's not very well signposted, so make sure you have a good map! Highly recommended.

i have played at Bonalba about 4 times now, with spanish friends, Juan Pintor who owns a golfing shop in Altea, and his son fran who Plays for the Spanish national boys team. It is well worth paying a visit. Hope you like water....big difference from playing Musselburgh and Kingsacre, mind you playing in shorts and a tee-shirt helps.

I have played the course on over 20 occassions now as we have property on the complex that we also rent out. I have additionally played a number of courses in the area ands can honestly say that Bonalba is by far and away the best course in the area.
The front nine is fairly flat but challenging due to the narrow fairways and abundance of water (bring your flippers or a lot of balls) The back nine is more undulating with the first half all up hill and the last half down hill. The par 5's really are and the par three's are all around 200 yards. I have never played the course in bad condition and unlike many courses the surrounding buildings do not intefere with the views as they are all a safe distance from the fairways.
Drinking should be confined to the bars around the centre( 1 minute walk) as they are half the price of the clubhouse.
If you want to know more please feel free to email me, I can also advise on getting discounted green fees.
For the record I play of 9 and have never shot below 80 at the course.
