Nicklaus designed 7000 yard par72 course on a beautiful part of the Gower Peninsula.
Machynys Peninsula Golf & Country Club is proud to boast the first Nicklaus-designed golf course in Wales.

A modern links style layout overlooking Carmarthen Bay and the Gower Peninsular and already home to the European Tours 'Ladies Championship of Europe', Machynys has already earned itself an enviable reputation as the UK's best new golf course.

The UK's top golfing publications have recently written about Machynys Peninsular. Here is a small selection of what they said:

Catering:

Following on from the original Fairyhill on Gower, (named as one of the top places to eat in the UK by Hardens Restaurant Guide and one of the AA Top Hotels) the ethos behind the Bar & Brasserie is the same, to use local ingredients to create mouth-watering dishes, complimented by good wines and local beers - Llanelli's Felinfoel and Swansea's Tomos Watkins Breweries to name but a few.

Fairyhill Bar & Brasserie ay Machynys boasts stunning views of the Loughor estuary and the Gower Peninsular. In its first year Fairyhill has been awarded a rosette from the AA, a major achievement and Llanelli's only restaurant award in recent times!

The bar and restaurant have a contemporary feeling, much use being made of wood and slate with luxurious leather sofas and breathtaking views from the terrace. Local wildlife is in abundance.

The bar is open all day for coffees and drinks; breakfast is served from 8.00 - 11.30 am and bar meals are served from 11.30am until 7.00 pm.

The Brasserie is open from 12.00 - 3.00 pm and re opens from 6.00 - 11.00 pm (Last orders).
