Played this course today (thursday 27 sept 07) on a bright sunny autumn day. First time around this track and was quite impressed. Some of the info on this site is incorrect: i paid 25 quid for a round, and no handicap certificate was asked for.
The pro in the shop was friendly helpful bloke. Course reasonably busy (everyone seemed to be over 70!)But not too slow. The card only shows white and red tee distances, but the yellows are all just a few yards less than the whites.
A good testing course with some long par fours. Will play this better a second time i reckon having a little knowledge of the course. Greens were very good. Course tidy and looked after.
Would be excellent value in the winter when presumably the price will go down. Give it a go.

Overall a disappointing course. Some holes of interest but little to make me want to return.
The majority of holes are straight up and down with little other than the occasional downhill lie to challenge.
Greens were in a good condition the day I played. Fairways not cut short enough for my liking.
I didn't feel that the course was very well laid out either. Often too many long walks to the tee boxes to then walk back on yourself to the fairway.
Be careful of the 16th, 17th & 18th. The 16th and 17th fairways crossover each other in a diamond formation. Take care as you approach the 16th green as there could well be somebody teeing off on the 17th. Also the tee shot on the 18th goes down the side of the 17th green. Very dangerous if a loose tee shot is played.
Both days I visited the pro was 'out' leaving young girls in charge of the shop who knew little when asked basic questions about club policy in respect of juniors for example.
Overall disappointed!
