had 2 golfing breaks here in the last 2 years, and i am looking forward to this years. accomodation is good the staff are very friendly, and the course is a good challenge. a great combination and unbelievable value.

I have played this course as a holiday visitor for 30 years. I think its one of the best nine hole layouts you'll find. It looks easy but some of the holes especially the very difficult par 3 6th are deceptive. The play can be a little slow at peak times but the views are fantastic. Recommended.

A fantastic setting, and certainly worth playing once, not least for the views. However, not particularly good value for money. Would also stick to 9 holes... although a beautiful experience, not many holes interesting enough to bother playing twice. Also exceptionally slow play... took over 2.5 hours to get round 9 holes on a Thursday afternoon, and the following day my partner and I gave up and walked off after reaching the 4th in over 1.5 hours! Problem seemed to be that majority of members were elderly and slow movers, also got stuck behind 4-balls who didn't understand concept of letting a 2-ball play through; problem exacerbated by the layout, mentioned in a previous report. Very minor gripe would be that course layout not provided with scorecard, which makes life very tricky when playing for first time (e.g. on the 1st tee, you have no idea quite how far you need to carry to avoid gorse/ what the prudent line is etc); also no yardage posts on fairways, so club selection tricky. All in all a fair (but slow) challenge- straightforward if still day (and you know where to hit), pars a real achievement if the wind is up

What a terrific links course.This is what links golf is all about.The greens are so good, you can see a lot of effort has gone into keeping them in tip top condition.The fairways are tight but not without some forgiveness.A very challanging course with or without the wind.The facilities are superb, lovely club house clean and functioning showers and toilets ,and a very well stocked pro shop ,all staffed by the most pleasent of people.A warm and inviting club to attend.Enjoy one of the best views in South Wales from the ninetenth hole terrace,truly stunning.

I met two golfers on my holiday to West Wales and they both praised the course. Having played here I must disagree with them - the more expensive Cardigan course

(18 holes) is far better whilst the St David's course is cheaper, friendlier, has better views and a course of comparable quality.

My main criticism of the course is its layout which is very poor and contributed

significantly to the slow play on the Wednesday afternoon that I played. There are

three holes (that's 6 holes if you're playing 18) on which the flightpath of the ball

carries over or near to the previous green. Hence to putt on these greens one

must wait for the group ahead to finish teeing off on the following hole. The club

do supply in their local rules a precendence list instructing who has priority in such

cases but that's just putting a sticky plaster on a cut artery.
