This course was described to me as a 'hidden gem' - to be honest i wasnt expecting much as it was originally a 9 hole course which had been extended by another 9 - never a good sign normally , but i was more than pleasantly surprised , what a wonderful course and one i thoroughly enjoyed. The new 9 holes incorporate a large ravine which you must cross several times, the 10th and 13th are excellent holes, either lay up or give it a go - the holes are fun either way, but you need to hit a good shot, straight. Greens are in good condition and reward good putts only,Be aware that the new 9 are slightly slower. You dont need to use a driver on this course, but my,what fun it is to use it !!!!
I loved this course, one of my favourites already and highly recommended
The club offers, trolley hire, golf club hire, shoe hire and electric trolley hire, unfortunately only one buggy at the moment, all at very affordable price - the buggy cost £15.Shop Assistant could not have been more helpful
The club house is a basic affair, with everything you need, but the best thing about it is the welcome you get from both the staff and the members - probably the most friendly club I have ever played at. The staff give you a genuine smile and the members revel in giving you tips about the course - they really do want you to enjoy their course - they are obviously proud of it, and proud to show it off - what a fantastic attitude.
This is an excellent club, They have got everything right - My society enjoyed it immensely ( all 14 loved it ) GIVE IT A GO - Its a top club

Played this course on 17/6/07 and left, very impressed. The greens were in superb shape and had undulations and contours to test the best of putters, but this course has long holes doglegs, and you don"t need to use the driver on all the par fours. Its a challenge for any handicapper, also the fairways were in great condition, for £15 a round it"s a real bargain and a superb day out,the scenery is magnificent and the welcome from the staff and fellow players made it all the better....well done Palleg GC
