Sixteen of us played this course last Sunday. Beautifully presented with the green staff - the sheep - "mowing" the 18th fairway as we arrived. The first hole is an extraordinary sight going significantly uphill for 380 yards with gorse on one side and bracken on the other. The views at the top are superb. The course is very undulating and there is a great deal of heather and gorse but often where one's drive might be expected to land the fairway opens out to give the shot affected by the wind a chance to be found. The par 3's, particularly the 5th, are good fun and very challenging. If you are not long enough, your ball ends up in the valley below! The greens are excellent - fast and fair - but don't expect them to hold the ball. This a great test of golf and everyone said this is a course to which we should return. Local members are very friendly and very pleased to offer useful advice before you go out!

Played here on a windy -dry October day.The Pro (Resident club comic!)reckons our day was a genteel breeze!! What a cracking course. Superb views. In great condition and very tough into the wind (3iorns from 150 yds being the norm) Terrific welcome from all the staff. A must for any S.Wales visitor.

I love this course. With the sheep walking around and ocean views it just made this real fun. There was very little wind the day I was there(7/02). I golfed with three guys from Wales and just had a great time.

A fantastic course in great condition with fantastic views over the Bristol Channel. we played in benign conditions but could imagine a very different course if the winds blows.
Found all the par 3`s particularly appealing.
Would also like to mention the very warm welcome we received at the course from all the members at the club.
Highly recommend this course to any visitor planning a golf break in Wales.

A superb heathland course overlooking the River Ogmore and Porthcawl. Verry tough in windy conditions. A lot of gorse about. Very picturesque. Friendly clubhouse & good food.
