Bill Norris-Exeter.

I have taken a 16 man party to the Gower for the last three years, each of which have been a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The course set up is extremely fair and has catered for our handicaps from 5 to 23.The food, accommodation and staff have been excellent as has the set up of the course. The pins are changed regularly so we have been able to enjoy a variety of shot making that has proved challenging. The new extension incorporating the bar, locker rooms and dining area have enhanced the versatility of the venue. It seems popular with non golfers as well.It does represent good value for money.Their buggies are now very reliable.

Played the Gower on each of 11th 12th and 13th of August with a group of 12 golfers and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. General impression of the course was excellent, not a very difficult course to play - the hard fast greens and excessive wind making for a very interesting round of golf. The best holes are without doubt 8, 9, 10 & 11 with the 8th being a wonderful downhill par 5 through a valley with mature trees and a lake in front of the green, the 9th a difficult short par 3 with trouble all around, the 10th being another flat par 5 with reens running alog the right and across the fairway to a green witha narrow entrance, and the 11th being a shortish par 3 with water through the green.

The accommodation was excellent and the catering first class. They also arranged a minibus to and from Swansea for the drinkers among us on each of the nights.

All in all a very enjoyable week-end and highly recommended.

Played Gower 2 weeks ago on trip to Swansea area(also played Pennard, Fairwood Park and Clyne)

Gower was a lovely course to play. Lots of holes which look like they will be easy to par, then they suddenly jump up and catch you unawares.

The welcome in the clubhouse was warm and friendly, and the same can be said for the members we encountered out on the course.

Also, as you drive up to the course it seems unpromising, but once out there, there are some fantastic views, in particular from the 17th tee.

They are just building a new clubhouse which, when finished, will add greatly to the welcome.

Overall a great little course, good value for money, and worth a visit if you are in the area.

Our society have just had a fantastic two round overnight stay at The Gower. The course is not long but is is great condition. The greens are consistent and the bunkers (what little there are!) are soft and true. There are several blind shots off the tee and judging yardages proved very difficult even with a course planner. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the accomodation clean tidy and comfortable. The food was exceptionally good and the bar meals quality and value for money could not be beaten. A fantastic time was had by everyone and much thanks go to Hellen and Alan the Pro. Even the members were friendly and chatty (except for the one idiot who insisted on sticking his oar in on the 16th !!!!, no need for it matey.) A must play course if you are in the vicinity.

I stayed at the Gower as a member of a group of 12 Gentlemen. We had a terrific time. The course is very reasonable: In good condition, fair and long-ish parkland course - especially considering its youth. Very good course to start a long 'weekend' on. Catering and hospitality very good/excellent.

The Gower is undoubtably the best course in on the Gower Peninsula. For such a new establishment it offers a challenge to all levels of golfer. The start of the back 9 and end of the first 9 is a real treat!

This is a genlty undulating course with a great test of accuracy. With great views and lush tightly cut grass, this really is a stunning course, to be tried by all.
