I think that clays is a realy good challanging holes.If you play of the white tees you will find that there is some monsters of holes that if you were playing off the yellow tees those holes would not be chalangeing.

1st - A straight forward par 4 with a couple of deep dips in the mid fairway.

2nd - A par 3 with an elevated fairway and the green steps up again.

3rd - Another straight par 4, with a couple of fairway bunkers to the left. The green has 2 bunkers either side.

4th - Slight dogleg to the right, although the pin is visable through the young trees.

Don't stray onto the 14th, time to cross the road and follow the hedge round to the 5th, a par 3 with an elevated green again. I've only played this course a couple of times (March time) and between the tee and green has been a bit wet.

You then have to pass the 8th tee and cross the 7th fairway to the 6th tee (not as bad as it sounds)where you tee off with a ditch just ahead of you. A hedge runs along the left hand side and the green hides just around a slight left turn.

7th - A par 4 with a bank (out of bounds) to your left. The green is set with a drop to the right side into forest with a small pond about 100 yards in front.

8th - A straight par 4 with a single bunker guarding the front left of the green.

9th - A straight par 4 with a few bunkers guarding the green within the last 100 yards. A nice bank at the back of the green helps stop my ball shooting past.

10th - A wide fairway with small dogleg to the right with out of bounds to your right.

11th - A par 4 with a slight turn to the left.

12th - An easy par 3 with a hedge and young trees to your left.

13th - A straight par 4 with some young trees alon the left hand side. Some bunkers to the left on the approach to the green and one to the right.

The 6th to the 13th is a bit up and down, but then you cross back over the road to the 14th. A straight par 4 with a couple of bunkers guarding the right of the green. They have recently added a ditch crossing the 14th and 15th fairway.

15th - A par 5 with a dogleg to the left.

16th - I like this one. After your tee off, you second shot is slightly to the right, there is a pond just in front of the green.

17th - A long par 3 with an elevated green. The pond from the 16th creeps onto the right hand side of the dip here.

18th - A 5 iron of the tee leads you to a dogleg right pitch onto the last green.

An enjoyable course with good greens. It's a bit of a walk back from the 9th if your only playing 9 holes though. The 14th onwards are the better holes.
