Difficult to reconcile the other contributers views with what we found in early October 2005. On checking with the pro's shop a day prior to play we were told the course was fine despite heavy rain. During play we found 17 greens were heavily spiked and 6 fairways were closed. A member then told us that these fairways were closed all winter, every winter. In any event, a poor links course, not natural enough. Suitable for holiday golfers only. Prospective guests would be well-advised to check matters out carefully before booking. Sea views blotted out by flood embankments which is essential but a pity. Clubhouse facilities acceptable. Conway or Abergele much better bet.

This was the first time I had played the course in over twenty years and the other three players in the group had never played it before. the weather was sunny and breezey and the course was in wonderful condition. It makes a nice change to putt on good greens and be able to play chip and runs instead of having to welly it from whatever lie you have which has been happening on some courses we have played recently. However, get in the rough, and you will have your work cut out. Played on the 2fore1 scheme and even at full price would play this course again. A fabulous day and a good course. what more could you want.

Great fun, what more can I say? We had lovely sun and perfect greens. No wind to hamper us. Rough was tricky and fairways unpredictable for the bounces. Good course management (put away the big stuff and hit the middle) means there's a lot of fun to be had. Good welcome and very friendly local players. A 'must visit' North Wales course!

Prestatyn is a great venue for winter golf due to it's location. You may well get blown off your feet but playing to proper greens all year round makes it well worth it. The winter package is unbeatable with 18 holes and a meal included. The catering is first class and the friendly welcome afforded to visitors is much appreciated. As for the course, it is a great links setting and very well kept. I'm sure the greens would be frightening in the Summer but i doubt if the wind ever stops. Hitting your best drive about 50 yards into the wind somehow adds to the fun!

Excellent. Another gem of a course that you only find out by going somewhere different and paying a green. Golf isn't just about being a member of a club for 10 years and palyign week in week out. It's about experiencing new courses, whether good, bad or just downright awful (is there an awful course anyway..i think not). Well P.G.C. is a golfers course, long and demanding. Some wonderful holes and views. A pleasure...absolute pleasure...
